Alcala is a third class agricultural municipality in Pangasinan. Its main product is corn. They have different varieties of corn from the white to purple ones. Its cornfields are picturesque especially during the summer. A quick stop on the road side can turn like a photoshoot with the rows of cornfields in the background.

Though Alcala is landlocked, the Agno river flows in the area. Ingenious residents of the town created their own “Boracay” out of their part of the river calling in “Boraoac Alacala Mini Ecopark.” Tourists may swim, cliff dive, boat, or fish in the area. Small huts along the riverbanks are available for tourists and locals alike. However, Boraoac is still under development and only open during summers.
