While it is one of the smallest cities in the country by land area, Mandaluyong boasts of a bustling business district, sprawling malls, and upscale restaurants. The city was once a barrio named after the Apostle of Rome. The San Felipe Neri Church, built on one of the oldest parishes in Metro Manila, has retained Mandaluyong’s Spanish-period name.
