Fun and Adventure Awaits in Mt. Pinatubo

Get ready to wake up early to get to the meet up point in Starbucks Greenfield District (The Hub) Mandaluyong on time. From there, you travel towards Mt. Pinatubo where you will get to hop on a 4x4 for an exciting ride to Pinatubo jump off point. Your trek begins at approximately 8:00am at the foot of Mt. Pinatubo crater. You will be hiking up the mountain for about 2-3 hours and your reward for the effort will be truly amazing: a real jewel of the area, Mt Pinatubo’s famous crater lake, known for its changing water color from blue green to deep blue depending on the season. Rest, explore the area and have a delicious lunch with breathtaking views of the landscape below. After lunch, start on your way back, complete with a 4x4 ride and a transfer back to Manila.

Itinerary

  • 3:00am meet up at Starbucks Greenfield District (The Hub) in Mandaluyong City
  • 3:30am depart for Mt. Pinatubo
  • Capas
  • 6:00am arrive at Mt. Pinatubo DENR meet and greet Kuya Alvin (group photo op)
  • 6:30am board 4x4 and ride to Mt. Pinatubo jump off point
  • 8:00am arrive at foot of Mt. Pinatubo Crater. Start trek
  • 10:00am arrive at Mt. Pinatubo Crater. Lunch (bring something to share with the group)
  • 12:00pm start descent
  • 2:00pm arrival at 4x4 stop. Board 4x4
  • 3:30pm arrive at Mt. Pinatubo DENR. Wash up
  • 5:00pm depart for Manila
  • 8:30pm arrive at Starbucks Greenfield District (The Hub) in Mandaluyong City

Insider Tips

All guests are encouraged to pack light and may only bring one small back pack or bag

Restrooms are at the jump off point

Guests can take a bath after the hike with a fee PHP25 to 50. 

The weather can get extremely hot and humid and it is very important that you do not get sun burnt and dehydrated on your trips. So, always hydrate! 

The volcano's crater lake are not fit for swimming and other activities due to harmful substances

The earliest you can have the lunch is at approx 1:30 pm

  • Trekking shoes fit for rocky trail and river crossing

  • Sunblock or sunscreen at least SPF40 to 60
  • Extra clothes

  • Trail snacks or energy bars

  • Lots of drinking water (at least 3 litres)

How To Get There

From NAIA Airport by Public Transportation

Take the MRT (Taft) Northbound to Shaw Blvd. (Shangri-La Plaza Mall). From the station, head towards Greenfield District (The Hub), along Mayflower Street. Walk for 5-6 minutes from Shangrila Plaza continue straight, Starbucks Greenfield District will be on the left.


From NAIA Airport by Grab Car

From airport to Starbucks Greenfield District, fare is approx PHP300 to 350 depending on what time of the day. 


From NAIA by Private Car

From NAIA, merge onto Epifanio Delos Santos Avenue (EDSA) from the Kalayaan Flyover. Follow EDSA to Shaw blvd. in Mandaluyong, then make a u-turn at the flyover and turn right to Mayflower St. Starbucks Greenfield District (The Hub) will be on the right.
