Terms and conditions

What time is the cooking class and for how long? Morning classes start at 830am and evening classes start at 5pm. Each class takes about 4- 5hours, this may vary so you may be able to enjoy your food, take time to know other people and relax.

Do we get to eat during the class? The best part of this class is that you get to enjoy your dishes! We will give you time to appreciate and eat your creations. You may also take this to go if you prefer.

Do you need cooking experience to get in this class? Absolutely not! We welcome beginners to culinary savants. Our Instructor would ensure to guide you in every step of the way.

What if I’m allergic to some of the ingredients? Important to notify us before confirming your booking regarding your allergies. We do provide alternative ingredients if needed. (Example: Change of Shrimp to Chicken).

Can children take this class? Yes, however we recommend that they take a private class together with an adult to supervise that will also be joining the class.

Do we need to pay in full before booking? Yes, this is to ensure that we reserve you a slot in the class.
Something came up, can we cancel our bookings? We do not cancel bookings, however we can rebook you to the nearest available slot. Please do notify us a day before the set schedule so we may be able to process this from our end, otherwise we will confirm this as a cancellation. No refunds.

What if it rains/ there’s an incoming typhoon? Will we be notified if the class will be cancelled? Philippine weather can be unpredictable during the rainy season (June to October). Should there be a need to cancel the class due to heavy rains, we will reach out to you immediately. Only if this happens that you can either rebook or get your refund.

How do I get to this place? If you are in El Nido town, get a tricycle and ask to take you to Joaquin Street, but most locals know this as “Puting Bato”. Our signage will be very visible, you can’t miss it. Nearest landmark is that we are across from Bamboo Billabong Hostel. (For third party bookings, there will be a clear instruction to guide you to our location in your reservation ticket so you may be able to find this more easily.)

How exotic are the ingredients? The ingredients are very basic and usually can be found in any Asian market. However, we would recommend substitutes just in case this will not be available in your area.

We may be able to do replacements for certain items but should be minimal. Meal sets will depend on the availability in the market, but El Kusina will still follow the 5course set meal regardless if there will be replacements. For any food allergies or restrictions, please let us know.

El Nido Taraw Via Ferrata Canopy Walk
0.29 km away

If you want to experience El Nido’s famous Taraw Cliff in a safer way, this is the attraction for you. The Canopy Walk experience is rock climbing lite, geared more towards inexperienced climbers who still want to catch a bird’s eye view of the town and the bay. That’s not to say that the Canopy Walk is not without its challenges. There are some steep and sharp rocks that need to be passed in order to get to the top. There is also a 75m-long bridge suspended 30m above ground that swings with the slightest movement, shaking the wits out of anyone remotely afraid of heights. Once you see the view though, going through all those challenges will be worth it. You also get a bit of a geography lesson along the way, thanks to the knowedegeable guides! The whole canopy walk costs P500 per person.

Seven Commandos Beach
1.23 km away

Towering limestone cliffs and a row of lush palm trees are the sights that welcome you as you approach 7 Commandos, now one of the more famous stops among the 45 islands and islets in Bacuit Bay. With a generous shoreline of sparkly white sand, 7 Commandos is a beach bum’s dream, perfectly suited for lazing around and taking a quick dip without having to do much in the way of physical exertion. The small bars selling refreshments by the beach make it even easier to indulge in a bit of sun-dappled laziness, the kind you associate with hammocks and the soothing sounds of a ukulele. With 7 Commandos’ easygoing vibe and sheer beauty, people often find that a quick stop here as part of an island tour is not enough. Luckily, it’s near enough to El Nido town to be reached by kayak if the waves are good. A resort on the island itself also means you can spend your entire trip there if you so desire.

Maremegmeg Beach
3.76 km away

Corong-Corong’s go-to sunset spot, this generous stretch of white sand is a great place to hang out even during the day. It has several establishments that can cater to all your beachgoing needs – from bars and restaurants, to paddleboard and kayak rentals. Most people here are inclined to lay out and tan with an island-themed cocktail in hand, but if you’re feeling the need to do some exploring, you could take your vessel of choice out to the open sea and paddle away to the nearest island. Food and drink may be a bit pricier here compared to El Nido town, but it’s a small difference to pay when you’ve got a great beach, an uncompromised view of Bacuit Bay’s legendary limestone formations and islets, and the chance to catch a sunset you won’t soon forget.
