The tour starts from your hotel when your tour guide will pick your group in the morning at around 8 a.m.

The first stop on this tour is a visit to the Full Itinerary: Palawan Heritage Museum. This museum boasts interactive videos, holograms, dioramas, and life-size statues.

Next, proceed to the Palawan World War II Special Battalion Museum.
See how Palaweños lived during the war period, and how they get through it. Then visit Plaza Cuartel, where POWs were held by the invading forces during the war. Plaza Cuartel is just across the Immaculate Conception Cathedral, the biggest and oldest Catholic Church in the city.

We will visit a small Palawan Museum that houses shells and some
examples of the fauna found here in Palawan. Lunch will be served in in a restaurant at downtown Puerto Princesa. Please advise any specific dietary requirement so we can arrange accordingly.

After a hearty lunch, visit an American-era penal colony where you'll be greeted by some dancing inmates. The Palawan Wildlife Rescue and Conservation Center is also on the list. This facility houses wildlife that were rescued in the province.

The Butterfly Garden and Tribal Village is your next stop. See beautiful
flowers and butterflies along with people from an indigenous tribe in Palawan.

A trip to Mitra's Ranch offers a stunning view of Hunda Bay and great
opportunity for photography. Final stop will be at the famous Baker's Hill where you can enjoy some snacks before heading back to your hotel after a wonderful experience in Puerto Princesa city.

Nearby attractions

Iwahig Penal Colony and Farm
6.28 km away

There are only seven penal colonies in the Philippines, and the largest in the world is the Iwahig Penal Colony and Farm in Puerto Princesa City. The colony represents a more decent approach to "paying one's time" without being incarcerated behind bars. Established in 1904, the open complex consists of several American heritage buildings in various states of repair. Fortunately, the National Historical Commission of the Philippines is scheduled to rehabilitate them before the year ends. Open from 8am to 5pm, visit is free, but it is encouraged to extend a donation. On the way in, security prisoners in brown uniforms can be seen working on the adjacent farms. Inside the Recreation Hall, which was built in 1924, several crafts and souvenirs made by the inmates are also on display and are being sold.

Iwahig Firefly Watching
7.46 km away

The one-hour banca cruise along the pristine Iwahig River provides an enchanting encounter with thousands of fireflies. These fragile insects only thrive in healthy environments, away from pollution and noise, and usually come out at around 7 o'clock in the evening. Given the site's remoteness (roughly 45 minutes away from the city proper), far from the blinding city lights, the guides also take the time to tell travelers to look up and admire the starry sky, and even help them in identifying various constellations. The boat tour costs P600 and accommodates three people aside from the tour guide. Furthermore, there are souvenir shops, a modest buffet restaurant, and a big parking space on site. The operation of this low-impact, educational activity is handled by the locals of Barangay Iwahig as another Community-Based Sustainable Tourism initiative of the city.

Palawan Ecological Adventure Tree
7.52 km away

More popularly known as "Mother Tree," this attraction features an immense ipil tree that is more than 100 years old. It is about 60 to 80 feet high, with the diameter of eight people armstretched around the tree. Getting here requires a guide from Sitio Bualbualan for approximately P250 per group. From that village, guests are led up a one-hour gradual ascent to the location of the tree. Guests are advised to bring water and snacks as the trek can be warm and physically taxing.
