The Mangaldan Pasalubong Center is located right in front of town’s municipal hall. It was established back in November 2015 by Municipal Mayo Bona Fe De Vera-Parayno. The center carries Mangaldan’s local meat products - tapa, tocino, longganisa, hotdog, bangus sardines, and “batutay” (carabao beef). This is in partnership with the town’s Meat and Fish Processing Center located 10 minutes away. Other products on sale include peanut brittle, peanut butter, chili oil and sauce, garlic flakes, assorted chips, and fruit wines. Visitors can purchase their pasalubong between 8am to 7pm daily.
Home of the best and the original peanut brittle of the North. Started by Ramona De Vera in 1958 and now being managed by her sons and daughters. The business started when Ramona tried making peanut brittle for her friends while baking on her Culinary class. Since her recipe is remarkably satisfying her friend's and family's sweet tooth, she started the business and later on, being copied by some local manufacturers. Never miss the chance to buy pasalubong at their store and be tempted with the milky and buttery aroma coming from their plantation. Their peanuts are carefully hand picked and observe a strict policy in cleanliness while inside their plantation. Their peanut brittle is distributed mostly in Baguio even in famous malls like SM and Robinsons.
Marcela “Cela” Barrozo has been in the tapa business since 1965. This 2017 she is turning 73 years old and holds the title “Tapa Queen” in Mangaldan. Mangaldan is famous for their tapa (dried beef) made out of “carabeef” (carabao beef). Locally the tapa is known as “pindang”. Cela’s business started when she was helping out in the local wet market. Soon she discovered her own recipe and started selling pindang. Five years ago she opened Mama Cela’s Food House and Restaurant where different Filipino dishes including “pindang” can be ordered. Today, Cela’s carabeef tapa is considered as “Mangaldan’s Best.” Cela’s Meat products also sell tocino, longaniza, hotdog, ham, burger patties, and hamonado.
