Since time immemorial, Carmona has the legacy of forging various kinds of long blades. Visiting Hebron Brother's knife factory is a window to exploring this Filipino craft. The factory is a sweatshop overwhelming with the sounds of hammering, pounding, scraping. Guests are toured around the process of creating knives from the molding and forging, to the pounding and polishing. Visitors are required to ask permission to tour the site before going there. Opened in 1934, Hebron Brothers started as a small blacksmith shop in Carmona. The company grew into a factory, making about 60 kinds of bolo knives for farming, gardening, and logging. The company is now the biggest factory of long blades in the Philippines. In 1975, its owner, Mang Simeon Hebron, won the Masikap Awards as Outstanding Filipino Entrepreneur, awarded by the Department of Trade and Industry.
