Teacher's Camp | Things to do in -Baguio City
|Address:||Leonard Wood Road, Baguio City|
The Secret Garden is a passage to the middle of Camp John Hay where most of the pine trees are located. A 5-minute walk from the Bell House, The Secret Garden features a gazebo which serves as a view deck to Baguio's surrounding mountains.
Once owned by one of the richest clans in Baguio, Laperal Mansion is a commanding sight along Leonard road beside the infamous Teacher's Camp. The three-storey mansion is decorated with old yet intricately-varnished interiors. Used as a garrison by the Japanese, the Laperals' loving home was quickly turned into a gruesome site, which explains numerous stories about ghost sightings. Despite its brooding aura, the Mansion has a garage that serves as a showroom for bamboo art. The exhibit also promotes traditional Ifugao wood carving.
Session Road marks Baguio's center of commercial activity. It is home to many savvy restaurants, bars, surplus boutiques (ukay-ukay), hotels, bakeries, movie houses, and drugstores. Covering from Luneta Hill to Baguio City Market, Session Road was named after the First Session of the Second Philippine Commission as its path led to its venue, the Baden Powell Hall.
