Lourdes Grotto is a Catholic shrine and place of meditation in Baguio. It is located on a high hill in the western part of the city where visitors will find the image of the Lady of Lourdes. The grotto is a favorite pilgrimage site during Holy Week most especially during Holy Thursday and Good Friday. Access to the top of the grotto could be made by climbing its 252-step staircase or by driving a light vehicle through a winding and steep paved road.

Old Diplomat Hotel
0.93 km away

An abandoned structure along Dominican Road, Old Diplomat Hotel is notorious for being a haunted building. Its dramatic ruin, however, makes a favorite subject to photographers. It was built in 1911 as a Dominican Monastery following a Spanish Dominican Baroque design. It was bombed during World War II and reconstructed in 1947. Diplomat Hotels, Inc. acquired the property in 1973 and transformed it into a 33-bedroom hotel. When the hotel stopped its operations, the 17-hectare property was then turned over to the local government. Although it is still popularly referred as the Diplomat Hotel, the site has been renamed as the Dominican Heritage Hill and Nature Park.

Rizal Park
1.44 km away

Baguio's Rizal Park is a humble space with a handful of grassbeds and ferns. Situated beside the esteemed Burnham Park, the park is almost meager in comparison, shrunken by its giant neighbor. From Burnham Park's Rose Garden, a few steps will lead visitors to Rizal Park, where an obelisk is rooted in the center. The image of Rizal is inscribed onto the monument with an inscription that hails the hero as a human sentiment of patriotism.

Burnham Park
1.58 km away

Named after Daniel H. Burnham, the American architect who mapped the urban blueprint for Baguio City, Burnham Park is a 33 hectare garden of child-like amusement. Burnham Lake, which sits at the heart of the park, is busy with activities like boating (P200, up to 8 people) and paddle-boating (P150, up to 5 people), with an optional boatman (P50). Other activities in the park include biking (P40-50/hour) and photoshoot in tribal costumes (P10/shot). There's also the skating rink, the Orchidarium, and the Athletic bowl.
