Baguio Cathedral
2.09 km away

Standing on Mary Hill, Baguio Cathedral is the largest Catholic church in the city and is the center of religious activities throughout the year. Its rose-colored facade and twin spires depicts the style of neo-gothic architecture. The cathedral's structure was the brainchild of CICM (Congregatio Immaculati Cordis Mariae) Priest, Architect and Engineer, Rev. Leo Valdemans. Generous donations helped finish the parish which was only partially built in 1924. In dedication to the Blessed Virgin Mary, the parish was dubbed Our Lady of Atonement Cathedral. Enduring many plights, the Cathedral once served as an evacuation site during the Japanese occupation period in World War II. It also underwent rehabilitation after the traumatic earthquake that struck Baguio in 1990.

Rizal Park
2.28 km away

Baguio's Rizal Park is a humble space with a handful of grassbeds and ferns. Situated beside the esteemed Burnham Park, the park is almost meager in comparison, shrunken by its giant neighbor. From Burnham Park's Rose Garden, a few steps will lead visitors to Rizal Park, where an obelisk is rooted in the center. The image of Rizal is inscribed onto the monument with an inscription that hails the hero as a human sentiment of patriotism.

Session Road
2.33 km away

Session Road marks Baguio's center of commercial activity. It is home to many savvy restaurants, bars, surplus boutiques (ukay-ukay), hotels, bakeries, movie houses, and drugstores. Covering from Luneta Hill to Baguio City Market, Session Road was named after the First Session of the Second Philippine Commission as its path led to its venue, the Baden Powell Hall.
