Baco-Chico Islets is the collective name for the three islets due north of Calapan City. The islets are a famous destination among island hoppers, scuba divers, and snorkeling enthusiasts because of its colorful reef and diverse marine resources. The islets comprise of Baco-Chico Islet, Pulong Gitna, and Pulong Munti. Island hopping among the three includes a stop at the Harka Piloto Fish Sanctuary, a protected area located in the nearby Harka Piloto Island. Island hopping among the islets requires a permit to be secured from the local office of the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR). After securing a permit, visitors can charter a boat at P500, with a maximum capacity of five guests, from the fishing village of Barangay Silonay. Visitors planning to go diving or snorkelling are also advised to bring their own gear.

Mangyan Heritage Center comprises a souvenir shop and a small library dedicated to Mindoro Island's aborigines, the Mangyans. The library catalogues more than 2,000 documents about the life and culture of Mangyans. Research materials include books, theses, and articles from magazines, and local and international newspapers. Several documents in the library come from anthropologists such as Harold Conklin of the United States of America, Dr. Masaru Miyamoto and Yasushi Kikuchi of Japan, and Antoon Postma of Netherlands. The last is hailed as a Mangyan expert, having worked and lived among the Mangyans since 1965. Meanwhile, the souvenir shop sells items created by the Mangyans themselves. Mayabig River is a community river reserved for swimming, washing clothes, irrigation, and unfortunately, white stone mining. Facing Mt. Halcon, the river is wide and shallow, with one select deep area for jumping off from a cemented ledge. On an ordinary day, kids back-dive into the deep area, some wash their clothes from the riverbank, while others rummage among the rocks, looking for white stones. Meanwhile, part of the water is redirected into a canal, where the water is used for the rice fields in the area. Cottages nearby can also be rented out for P200 each.
