Original Pares and Mami House
Attraction
2.51 km away

Pares is a meal that consists of beef asado (beef stewed in a sweet soy sauce), garlic fried rice and a bowl of beef broth soup. The soup is traditionally made from the broth in which the meat is simmered in until tender then seasoned with onion, garlic, peppercorns, chives, and onion leeks. Some Filipino restaurants also offer the option to serve the dish with an accompaniment of noodles; in the case of the Original Pares and Mami House, they offer a bowl of mami, which is noodle soup made with wheat flour noodles and topped with chicken, beef, pork or wonton dumplings. The Original Pares and Mami House has been around for decades and, for Quezon City locals, is home to the best pares in the city. Similar in set up to a Japanese noodle house, service is counter-style. Open from 6:30 a.m. to midnight, the place is always full, with customers not only from Quezon City but from all over the metro flocking over and lining up for their mouth-watering pares.
