The Podium is an upscale mall located in Mandaluyong City. It sports six floors filled with both high-end and usual stores for SM. The mall underwent a major renovation to give way for its expansion. In 2017, the mall reopened its door to its patrons, sporting a new, crisp, and more elegant interiors with high ceilings, more spacious floor plans, and minimalist design.
SM Megamall is the second-largest shopping mall in the Philippines and the ninth-largest in the world. The ‘mega’ mall can accommodate up to 4 million people and occupies a land area of approximately 10 hectares (25 acres) and has a total floor area of 474,000 square meters (5,100,000 sq ft).The mall opened its doors in 1991, two years after its construction in 1989 and it was the third shopping mall built by the late business tycoon, Henry Sy.
This is a 100-year
old bakery, founded in 1919 by Ambrosio Lozada, the
father of the
internationally known violinist Carmencita Lozada and
and singer Manolo Lozada. The bakery’s name –
“untouchable” - was the pen name of Philippine hero Jose
Rizal in the
publication La Solidaridad.

panaderia continues to sell well-loved Filipino breads
made the traditional
way, using a pugon or wood-fired oven, such as
bicho, pan de coco, monay, and Spanish breads. Today,
they have also become
known for their giant Brazo de Mercedez – a rolled
cake made from a
sheet of soft meringue with custard filling. They also
invented a square
biscuit called Di Ko Akalain (translated means “I did
not expect this”), a
recipe that their bakers stumbled upon when they
made a mistake with
one of their recipes but unexpectedly found it
