Pamantasang lungsod ng Maynila (1)
Standing on centuries worth of historical sites, the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila was established in 1960. But before the university came to be, its site was the first Jesuit compound in Manila. In 1581, the Jesuits arrived in Intramuros and then decided to settle on that block up until their expulsion in 1758. During the years of Jesuit occupation in the area, the following structures were built: the Church of Santa Ana in 1587, Colegio Maximo de San Ignacio in 1595, Colegio de San Jose in 1601, and the first church and convent of San Ignacio in1626
