Solong Falls Nature Park | Things to do in San Miguel-Catanduanes
|Address:||, San Miguel, Catanduanes|
The rustic town of Bato serves as the de facto heritage center of the province with its Spanish-era religious sites: a picturesque Catholic church, circa 1883, made up of mortar and coral stones. The church is of interest not only as an example of mid-colonization Filipino-Spanish architecture, but as a historical landmark. It was built under the polo system of forced labor for a total of 53 years from 1830 to 1883.
Named after Barangays Marinawa and Binanhuan in the municipality of Bato, Maribina Falls is the most popular and widely publicized among the numerous waterfalls in Catanduanes. It gushes with breath-taking rapids of crystal-clear water.
Sitting atop on a mountain, PAGASA Weather Radar Station offers breathtaking views. It is one of the three stations in the country and is considered to have state-of-the-art facilities in the province.
