A voluminous tall drop in the town’s interior village, whose deep cool water makes it suitable for swimming.
About 60 feet high, it offers a good place for swimming, freshwater fishing and nature watching. It can be reached by hiking approximately 5-7 kms. passing through Matacong hanging bridge.
Known locally as “Bantayog”, it is a 20-foot white stone obelisk which was built on December 30, 1898. Situated at a river park, it is the first monument built in the honor of the national hero. The effort was initiated by Lt. Col. Antonio Saez of the Revolutionary Army. A few meters away is the Martyrs Shrine, a memorial pedestal honoring the freedom fighters who died and were killed in the 1898 Daet Revolt against Spain.
