ASC Museum | Things to do in Conner-Apayao

Purag River is an emerging tourist destination located in Apayao’s fruit capital, the humble town of Conner. Families would often be seen feasting on a sumptuous spread of igat (eel) and wild duck dishes at the rocks by the riverbank. The blue-green lagoon, which can go as deep as 30 feet, conceals a number of caves behind its small cascades, which are often frequented by individuals and couples yearning for alone time.
If you think crossing a hanging bridge is heart-stopping enough, try one whose maximum capacity is yet to be found out. Since being built last year, Kelbat Hanging Footbridge has played a big role in the daily lives of the residents around Nabuangan River. Hence, despite being constructed only a couple of years ago, the fragile-looking overpass can easily pass off as an antiquated structure. After crossing the bridge, visitors can head to the banks of Nabuangan River and swim in its cool waters, where cottages suited for picnics and gatherings can be used for free.
There are two ways to reach Conner’s Bellang Cave. One is via a 40-minute tricycle ride through paved roads, while the other is by crossing knee-deep muddy trails and waist-deep rivers with gushing waters which takes around 1.5 hours. Once you reach the jump-off point to the cave, reward yourselves for surviving the trek or extremely bumpy ride by jumping into the cool lagoon.
