At 1,705 MASL, Mt. Palali was once the hunting ground of the Bugkalots, Gaddangs, and Ifugaos. This majestic mountain range offers a magnificent view of the low-lying municipalities of the province. Its diptherocarp forest contains unique flora and fauna such as bonsai forest, wild orchids, and flowers, and is historically known as the crash site of a WWII tora tora plane.
Spanning a kilometer along the national highway are stalls selling fresh buko fruits and their famous home-made buko pies and tarts. Known as the Buko Pie alley, it is a famous stop over for refreshments and “pasalubong”.
Declared as a National Cultural Treasure by the National Museum, St. Vincent Ferrer Church was constructed in the 16th century, and is considered as one of the oldest churches in Northern Luzon. It has an ecclesiastical museum and a bell tower made of bricks.
